Lens change bag ?

Anyone have any ideas for a kind of lens change bag. I want a bag that's fairly big to fit my gripped D90 and a 70-200mm F2.8 lens (with hood) so I can also swap between the lens. It doesn't need loads of compartments as I wont store gear in there its just for easy quick access on shoots

Currys currently have a goji (own brand?) bag for £30 perhaps not big enough for a gripped body but I use it as a satchel to hold lenses and a flash while leaving my big heavy bags in the car or safely stored away! Makes it easy to move around an event

Sorry, yes a shoulder type bag that I can use during the shoot to temp store gear and lenses between changes etc

I've found the camera stays out of the bag most of the time and it's the lenses that change, seems like the ideal solution

Hi John I purchased a Lowepro FastPack 200 on here recently, which is a back pack but stands up pretty rigidly when put down and is very comfortable. I can get my gripped D700 with 70-200mm VRII in with room for plenty of other accessories.

I also have a tamrac pro 8 which I keep my DX equipment in, which is a great shoulder bag and houses the 70-200 with ease, it may be a little larger than you are after though, but it really well padded.

Billingham or Domke. Classic bags that will last for years. NOT cheap, NOT fashionable, but true class.

Not that I expect many to agree with me nowadays.

Have a look at the Muffin Tops. I've got a 4000 with a D40 with 18-55 attached and a 55-200 in the bag as well. Can get it for £35 on Amazon last time I checked.

Couldn't agree more....

I have a couple of Domke bags, an F2 and a F5XC and they are great bags. Descrete, well put together and well thought out.

My slingshot 300 JUST takes a gripped D90 with a 120-33 fitted, JUST.. so it should fit one perfectly with a 70-200!
Plus give you room for a few additional lenses etc

Tamrac Velocity 9x will take a gripped D90 too, with 70-200 attached and then room down the 'cheeks'....sorry to add to the list!

Probably not what your after but I was talking to a photographer yesterday. Had camera round his neck with 18-55 lens. He then had one of those fabric sigg bottle holders that you use for camping round his shoulder which has his 300mm lens. Quite a good idea I thought.

Well yeah I suppose that is what I need. I just want something to that I can use to support my lens/camera while change lenses. I already have a bag to store my gear in but when on location I just need something to quickly put stuff in and keep them fairly safe and allow me free hands to change lenses

Yeah it is a good idea, my big lens (80-200 F2.8) does have its own large case but I want something to keep everything together in
