hi
since starting this wonderful hobby of mine in december last year , i've amassed a grand total of two lenses , I've got the 18-55 kit lens that came with the camera (D60) and I've since bought a 55-200 vr (the cheaper one !)
thing is most of my photography takes place whilst out and about with the family , either a walk in the countryside or a visit to somewhere of interest and I'm finding I'm using the shorter end of the big lens for most of my shots and not using the 18-55 much , also because I cant always be bothered to change the lens whilst i've got the kids in tow (bad i know !) i'm compromising some shots.
question is would a 18-105 vr be a better "all round" lens for my needs ? its around the £200 mark and if i'm correct its the D90 kit lens. looking at the focal lengths i'm using this would make sense.
is this lens any different optically (apart from the zoom range) ?
would i be loosing anything by making the 18-55 redundant ?
thanks
hope this makes sense
