Lens cleaning...best stuff?

Am i right in thinking that the best stuff to clean lenses is the stuff used to clean reading glasses? The cloths seem very soft and always do a good job on my glasses (when i wear them!). Or is there better?

Ive always used a lenspen. Has a brush at one end for hairs and dust etc, and a carbon tip at the other that does a brilliant job at getting rid of fingerprints and grime.

Convenient enough to take with you in your pocket and at about £10 will last you a year or so (depending on how often you clean obviously)

Should be fine that what I use. Its been a while since I have seen one of them given away on the front of a photo mag, had one with Practical Photography on, years ago.

Thats the cloth I use (borrowed from my wife's case ) and works great - I always blow on the lens initially, esp if it's been used outside for a while, just to make sure there is no "grit" of any description on the lens

Lens cloth and 'Opticlear' lens wips every now and again or when particular mucky both from Asda's eye care center.
