How often should I be using a lens cleaning kit??

just when the lens looks unclean or often because of dust?

I'd say when it's obvious either in your photos or on the lens.

well it has a brush that blows air when you press it, a small piece of yellow fabric, lens cleaning fluid, cotton buds, lens cleaning tissue paper.

My lens cleaning kit include

Micro-fibre cloth from Specsaver for the lens
Rocket blower
Some generic lens cleaning solution.

Clean the lens well, then put a clear glass filter on the front of it. After that you only have to worry about cleaning the filter and you can do that as often as you like (it being much cheaper to replace)
