hi guys just bought a lens that's been on my wish list for ages its a old Minolta 300 mm apo af 2.8 , now its externally great nick for its age, internally it has a couple of small spots of fungus on the rear element, its doesn't show in the pics even when cropped so the question would you guys leave it alone or get it cleaned out, if the answer is cleaned can anyone recommend where I might get that done and possible cost please thanks for looking

I would get it cleaned, it can spread through the lens and I believe it can also transfer to other lenses if kept in close proximity.

I had some fungus cleaned out of a 70-200mm f2.8 by this guy ... have used him on numerous occasions and have been very happy with his work.

ok thanks for the thoughts and the great contact info, I would like to get the lens cleaned as I am a bit of a perfectionist with my gear and like it to be the best it can be even if its old, strange thing is the guy I bought it from had it serviced in 2014 but not cleaned and paid £ 200.00 for it
