lens compatibility

I posted in another thread issues I'm having with camera but i am beginning to wonder if its the lens, its one i had left over from my Nikon days not being compatible with this model D7000 if anyone knows i would be so grateful lens is a Nikon af-s dx nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6Ged vr 11 ,thanks.

Yes it's compatible because it's a DX lens.
