Attended a wedding at the weekend and got along well with the official tog (D3). He's the third wedding tog this year I've seen with the Nikon 24-70 2.8, so it seems (along with the 50mm 1.4) to be a stock item for that line of work.
At the same time I was struggling with a badly back-focusing Tamron 28-75 2.8 which made me fancy something that was a bit more robust with potentially better IQ.
I've heard some people knock the 24-70 on IQ etc and others rave about it. So I wondered what people considered to the best FF bit of glass in that range?
(Must'nt have 'Canon' in the name either! :bonk
