Thanks to @nandbytes I now have a Sony GM 50 f1.2, and I couldn't not test it. At least we had a good sky tonight.

You should have bought the colour lens version.

Having the B&W one will restrict your photography

It's very tempting to play 'spot the lens' with this and the Sammy, but I need to play the game with myself first.

I should get my 50 out more, although mine is the Canon f1.8.

Yes, it's close to the 24-105 in terms of weight and bulk. It's amazing how tiny my Sony A mount 50 f1.4 is, although the coma it has is impressive too!
