Hi Peeps

Im off to my local airshow in june and im going to hire a lens from lens for hire, the question is which do i hire, I will be using it with my canon 7d and i want something that will produce nice sharp images, my max budget will be £100 for 3 days hire. Im actually going to the airshow with family and my brother in law will be using his sigma 50-500 non OS, he says i could borrow it for a few hours during the day, but i would rather hire a lens and have it with me all day as i dont want to end up missing any shots? So what are your opinions on which telephoto to hire?

Thanks Kerry

1,2 and 4 would be my pick from Gary's suggestions.

I've used the 300 F4L, with a 1.4 converter and got some really good shots. Would be my choice over the 400mm as with a 1.4 it's actually longer and has IS :)

The 50-500 is also great for airshows, so hiring one of those would also be a good idea.

If you look through my flickr, the duxford airshow was done with a 300F4L and the Flying Legends with a 50-500.

Harry.

I took a Sigma 150-500 OS on my 5D3 and the wifes Sigma 120-400 OS on my 60D last year to Waddington airshow. For the smaller planes I was at 400-500mm nearly every time and from around 250mm for the larger planes and I got some cracking shots.

Here's a few shots from the day, the weather wasn't good so I had to add EV to most of the shots, but these are SOOC with no other PP apart from a crop.
