Lens for my wife

My wife loves my 24-105 f4 and I want to buy her something similar in focal length for her canon 600d but she doesn't see the point of getting the 17-85 because she has the kit lens I'm looking at spending £250 can anyone recommend anything for her. Styles she does well its anything and everything. I've tried explaining the difference in good glass but she thinks I'm bonkers.

Dont sigma do a 24-70? There relatively cheapish....
 
28-105mm F3.5-F4.5 USM?

Good little lens...
 
The Canon 15-85mm is a superb lens, out of budget new but could be worth a look second hand. Can't recommend it enough!
 
The Canon 28-135IS ? Very near the focal length that your wife likes with your 24-105...

I've had one and really liked it and have recommended it on several occasions ...
