Hi all, I'm looking to hire a lens to take photos of a carnival in the night. I have been looking at canon EF 70mm - 200mm USM. I'm only taking the pictures for my own hobby so I won't be selling any. I have a 600D. Just wanted a lens with the WOW factor after taking a couple of shots,
Any tips about my shoot would be helpful thank you as I'm not a pro, and also best place to hire a lens. I have seem site on the net again any advice please.

Lensesforhire who is a member on here has great. Feedback, hires pretty much any lens you'd like. I think they have a couple of different versions of the 70-200 2.8 on there.

Would it not be slightly long though? Maybe a 50 1.4 or 1.8. What type of shot are you after? 70-200 would be ok for street style candid shots.

Not the lens that I would pick on crop at night in a busy scenario.

I would want context, so something like 50mm on FF.
I would want fast aperture, sub f/2.0.

35/1.4 is what I would pick, you don't want to use a flash anyway, it's open space and subjects far too big and far for it to be useful.

I've used lensesforhire.co.uk in the pass and it's been brilliant.

Try lenspimp too for hiring a lens. 70-200mm might be a bit long depending on what you are wanting to photograph.

Ok thanks guys, well I will standing on the side of the road so will shoot on approach and while the float is at my side, not sure way I chose that lens, 70mm is too far thinking about it.

Good idea not to use a mounted flash. I do have the standerd 50mm in my kit bag, can you post me a link please to the lens that you have suggested from lens for hire.
