Hi,

I have a friends daughters wedding to do in Sept. The lens I normally use are a 17-40 F4.0L and 28-105 F4. I have been having a little practice and the lens do not seem to be fast enough to completely blur the background.

I was thinking of hiring something like 85 F1.2 to use for the couple and small group shots. The risk is that I would not know the lens as well as my own.

Does anyone have any recommendations for hire of lens in the Reading area?
Thanks

Try lensesforhire.co.uk. They advertise on here so you could ask any specific questions.
I hired the 85 1.2 off them and it was great.
Be prepared to want want though. I ended up buying one after renting it.

You'll get loads of reviews of lensesforhire.co.uk on here, but I only have experience with lenspimp.com (which was fantastic service and great prices) hiring a lens online couldn't be easier and its a great try before you buy, or, in this case, when you dont need to purchase a lens.

Yup I've used lensesforhire (and have another hire I'm picking up in a couple of weeks). As they're in Maidenhead and you're looking for someone in the Reading area it's perfect for you.

Hi guys,
Thank you for the replies, as they are recommended and local, lensesforhire look good to me. I had a look around the site and a read of the info, do you think I would be better off with the 50mm as it might give me a little more flexibility with some of the group shots?
Thanks for the advice.
