I have just looked on jessops website and hiring lenses is not as expensive as I expected.

I only have started to look into it and I was wondering where do you hire lenses from?

That’s an unanimous vote for Lenses for Hire.
Thanks all for your comments.

What type of lenses do you hire from them?

I've had all sorts from them, 50 1.4, 85 1.4, 70-200 2.8 and a 300 4 - Nikon lenses that is. Might get a 28-300 from them for a holiday to Mexico in the new year.

Crikey, really? I just looked at a sample of some of our most popular lenses, and for a week-long hire Jessops were typically about 3 times the price as us! . Obviously I need to work on expectations management.

Let me rephrase that.
I had no idea of how much hiring a lens would cost.
At the moment, I am not in a position to buy a good lens and I thought hiring a lens would still be expensive but now looking into it, it's very affordable.

I first looked at Jessops , and in my (amateur) opinion, hiring a canon 50mm 1.4 for 3 days for less than £100 was affordable; but after being pointed out in the right direction no doubt you are much cheaper!

Another Vote fro Stuart at Lenses for hire. Good to hire one to see if you like it, it suits your need before you invest in some expensive glass.
