Yes
I'm looking to get a lens hood for my lens's.. reading up on it the benefits on the 50mm seem marginal at best so I am going to leave that one for the time being.

So where can I buy a cheap lens hood for my other two lens's... is there one that will fit both or do I need 2 separate ones?

Amazon have the 55-200mm version for £8.58 but not sure if it will fit the other lens

As a side to this what hoods do I need for the lens's

I thought it was the ET-60 but this is for the IS version of the lens... I think it is an ET-54 I need for the 55-200 but still not sure on the 18-55 or where is the best place to buy one

If you look on Canon's web under each lens it will tell you the model number of the lens hood you need for each lens. Obviously e-bay is a good place to look once you know the model code.

If the screw filter size is the same for both lenses (eg 58mm / 67mm etc) you could possibly get a screw in rubber expandable hood that may do the trick for both - not sure it would work out much cheaper though.

Is there a specific reason why you possibly don't want to buy 2 hoods

Unfortunately the canon website was not much help when it came to my lens's but I think I have found the ones I need... just ordered the one for the 55-200 from amazon for £8.70 so can't complain really... I only have a small camera bag which is alreadyn extrememly cramped carrying the 3 lens's and the camera with battery grip so even one hood is going to have to be stored seperately when I get it...

the 55-200 was the most important one as that is the one I will be using more often, nearly bought the IS version though which is a different hood.
