Hi all,
It may sound silly but I have two lens' that are both 58mm wide one is an EF-S 18-55mm the other is and EF 28-80mm can I use the same lens hood or do I have to buy two seperate lens hoods?
Thanks
Nathan
If we're being really pedantic you should use the lens hood for the specific lens its designed for.
That doesn't mean there isn't some overlap and in reality you may well get away with using a hood on more than one lens. It's not going to hurt anything to try it.
ThanksIf they physically fit then yes, you can use the same hood for both lenses.
If the hood is for the 28-80mm then this is designed for a full frame camera. Since the 18-55mm covers a similar field of view as the 28-80mm on a crop camera then I would not expect any vignetting.
And definitely none the other way
