lens hoods *stupid question alert*

dunno how but somehow I've managed to lose a lens hood, leaving me with only the one for my 70-300 and the really lame excuse for one on my 17-70 kit lens. The other one was for a 50 prime.

What size do I need for the prime and kit lens? :shrug:

I suppose it's not all bad cause I did really want a petal shaped one.

Is the prime a 50mm f/1.8? Not sure about the Sony one, but the front element on the Canon is so recessed that it really doesn't need one.

Can't really help with the other lens though I'm afraid!

prime is a sigma 50mm 1:2.8 (guess that's f 2.8? )

kit is sony f.3.5-5.6 18-70mm

I thought that the hood from the prime fit on the kit too, but other way round "camera says no!" so I guess I was wrong

If it's the 50mm f/2.8 macro then the hood is £20....

Just checked mine, it's just a screw-fit so one of the Fleabay ones should do the job nicely

are those kind of rubber collapsable hoods any good?
