Just a quick one, I noticed last night that the lens mount on one of my cameras has a very little corrosion on it and was wondering what was the best way of getting rid? It's the same turquoise-y green that copper goes if that makes sense with a little white around it. It's not on the front where the lens meets it, it's just on the bit that makes it stick out from the camera. (I've tried taking a picture of it to no avail, it's only very small but in a couple of places and I don't have anything macro to get a proper shot of it
)
At first I thought it could be fungus or something, but a cotton bud dipped in mould and mildew remover hasn't touched it so it's confirmed its corrosion. Is it worth trying to clean or just get the mount swapped out? If anything at all? Looking on eBay there's s place in China selling the mounts for £23, the other option is send it away to fixation or somewhere. Any thoughts guys and gals?
