I bought a cleaning set a while back but stupidly threw the instructions away!

With a lens pen is it a simple case of drawing the pen over the lens after dusting it off with a blower ?

I should have posted how the hell do you get marks of a filter that don;t want to come off!

No thaving the best day, opened up the camera bag in a hurry and the clip caught my lens (with a hood on, no filter) and now have a small mark on the front lens/element, whatever it is called of my 70-300 IS USM, not a happy bunny even though it does not appear to make a difference to the shots it takes I like all my kit in perfect nick...
