Well i'm off to Disney world for a couple of weeks  and i have now reserved my 11-16mm Tokina lens from Lenspimp for a cool £90 for the 2 weeks. Trouble is i know i'm not gonna want to give it back...... How do I convince SWMBO that my life is incomplete without it?

Some amazing photos that will stun her may help :D And good amount of shots with her in the frame will defo help

Hi your signature link has popped my anti virus warning as a malicious site!!!

£90 for two weeks? Blimey, they're having a laugh. I thought LensPimp were more reasonably priced than that.

Yes noticed that too I will dig out why, maybe the free domain is listed as harmful or the applet(developed by me and few other people for visualization of advanced search algorithms) is marked as trojan but I have to check.

As for the lens 90£ is a bit of a steal, get a UWA from the Classifieds instead if you decide to rent a lens again. Normally my partner in life is not part of the decisions I just buy the lens and she gets used to it in a while :D

Two weeks with return postage is quoted as £99 on your site. I guess we'd need to know the details of the OP's too see if £90 is expensive.

You're right: comparing prices meaningfully depends on what you include.

Our price for 2 weeks is £71 including insurance and VAT, or from £80 delivered if you can't collect from Maidenhead. (You could pay for a courier collection but that's really not very cost-effective for such a small lens. Better to return via RMSD for about £10, which makes £90 all-in.)

I've just looked at LensPimp's site and their prices are within +/- £1 of ours; a few pence cheaper without delivery, and a few pence more expensive with delivery.

Which surprises me, because I thought they were cheaper.

I'm actually hiring the lens for 16 days and the price is delivered + RMSD at around £10

Man up and grow a pair would be my advise - either that or get a new wife that does not rule your life lol
