Lens repair?

Hi

For some reason both my Tokina 11-16 2.8 and Sigma 17-50 2.8 have a weird problem where they sound like something is lose inside them both?

Very annoying, seeing as I take such good care for them. Bit disappointing that I spent a bit more initially on my lenses (skipped kit lenses) to get better quality for this to happen...

They are just out of their 1 years warranty so am looking to get them repaired externally.

Anyone know of somewhere reliable to send 3rd party lenses too? Ideally around Birmingham, but don't mind posting!

Thanks!

Good luck with the Tokina, only their UK distributor bothered to reply to my repair enquiry on the same lens and all they were interested in was warranty. Not a single camera/lens repair company bothered to reply.

Lenses often sound like something's loose if you shake them like a cocktail shaker, is there actually anything not working?

Sigma works fine, just sounds like there's something lose. Tokina is sometimes fine, other times the zoom ring will feel gritty then other times it doesn't. A bit random, still both usable just annoys me and want them to be 100% for when I come to sell them to go full frame...

Give sigma a call they are very helpful

I sent my 150/500 to them earlier this year and had both the autofocus motor and IS system replaced for £131.99
