Can anyone suggest a place where I can get my lens repaired?

The plastic around the front glass is cracked (This needs replacing) and it could do with a good clean at the same time I think.

Depending on the lens as u r not giving much info but I would try cameraworld

£130 buys a new VR one from Amazon. Used obviously less.

By the time you've added postal/courier charges to any sort of repair I would be surprised if you get much change out of £100.

That. It isn't really worth servicing £300-400 lenses, not to say about £100. Maybe if you are in China or India, it could be cheaper somewhere, definitely not in UK.

And once you buy a new lens, put the broken lens on eBay, you'll be surprised what it goes for as "spares or repairs".

That one sounds as works fine, well used, some minor cosmetic damage and dust of specs - given some descriptions on ebay

True, some things sell for silly prices, even with negative descriptions.

I've seen empty camera boxes go for £60+ and recently a broken lens went for a few thousand, amazing what people will buy on ebay. Definitely a chance to upgrade to a new lens Vince, and a chance to get rid of the old one.
