I like to take a ramble through PHOTOZONES lens reviews now and again. Some write ups seem strange to me,take for instance the write up for the TAMRON 28-75. G. E. says it`s a good lens, so does the write up, only if you get a good one. Now lenses are an expensive item, they don`t come in Christmas stockings. Also another lens gets the review that having tested 4 of the same size, only 1 came up to spec. Now with all this computer designing and building they should all be the same. The old days did turn out some great lens, I have many to prove it. Now the review on the TAMRON 10-24 shows a shot of a pole barrier taken at 10mm F8, I am assuming about a distance of 1 metre setting. The H D for this setting is about .8 metres giving a DOF of about .4 to inf. But the bushes are out of focus about 3 metres away. He must have set his camera to less than .8 metres. Strange man.
