If I am looking to buy a lens that has lots of internal dust/haze in it, is it possible to get it serviced somewhere so that it is all cleaned and restored internally?

If this is possible, how much would I be looking at for such a service and where would I look to send it.

This would be an 80-200mm f2.8 I'm looking at.

There's no way I can afford a 70-200 at the moment, so the above is a good 2nd choice. If I can get one for a reasonable amount I guess I'm then looking at more than £120 for a service on it.

Perhaps it isn't the best way to go then, and more worth my while saving for a better example.

Perhaps - it depends on how much you can get it for as to whether it's then going to be expensive once you've had it cleaned / serviced if it requires it.

Might be worth a couple of phone calls to Nikon repairers as to how much they think it would be to clean and service it - this might make the decision for you ?
