Lens Servicing - Sigma

If you think a Sigma lens could be better than it is due to possible focus issues, what could a service do.

Now obviously out of warranty, do you think spending £100 on a Sigma Service would make it the lens it should be, and by all accounts many people have super sharp copies of the 2.8 18-50. Or could it be money down the drain??

Never had any lens serviced, so don't know what if any "miracles" can be performed with open-lens surgery.

id contact sigma service to be honest and explain what youre seeing, they may quote less for the work than the standard tarrif.

if its a macro version they can be very nice lenses, i had one and it was phenominally sharp.

It is non Macro version. Might be my shoddy technique, just don't know what a service can actually do, so might as suggested ring them to see what they can actually do.
