Lens swap or hire

I'm not sure where can I address this so I though I should try my luck here first. I've got a 50d with a 24-105mm and this is limited due to the cropped sensor.

I'm looking for some other lenses (maybe a swap) and I've got a canon 10-22mm in mind. I'd like to try it first so I was wondering if someone who lives in / around Kettering who can help me with that. We can do a swap over for a day or a few hours.

An advice for some other lenses would be more than welcomed.

Have you considered renting from somewhere such as lensesforhire or lens fettish? If they have that lens available you could rent it for a few days to see how you get along with it, as opposed to a short test over a few hours.
