Does anyone know a camera shop that also does lens testing?
(I've just bought a lens off ebay in very good condition and sold it again because it wasn't very good but it is supposed to be one of the best out there (Tamron 17-50mm) and there are supposed to be differences between those made in Japan and those made in China).
