lens upgrade advice needed

hey people i have a canon 600d with a 18-135 canon lens, as i am now seeking a new lens mainly for portraits i am a bit confused as to which one i should get.

I have decided to go for either the canon 85mm 1.8 or tamron 28-75mm 2.8 and suggestions people

85/1.8 is the ticket for portraits.. You'll have to double the budget for a better canon. 35/2 for full body and group shots if you need those.

Others will pitch in with Sigma and Samyangs I'm sure.. But I've no personal experience of them.
