After thinking about it for a few days, and with several helpful tips and suggestions. Ive succumbed to the thought that upgrading a lens is more appropriate than buying a new body.
Initially I was tempted to upgrade from the D3100 to the D7000, but then thought, whats the point as I need some quality lenses to go with it. I currently have:
Tamron 70-300mm f5.6 lens
Nikon 18-55mm f3.5/5.6G DX VR (Stock lens)
Nikon DX Nikkor 35mm f1.8G (this lens I want to keep)
I mainly use the stock lens for a variety of situations, which is mainly landscape and some creative shots. But I have found that it is a bit of a struggle to use in poor light. So I am tempted to upgrade this lens.
However, I bought the Tammy lens when I first got my camera, and use it very little compared to the other two. The only reason I bought this lens was to learn with it. I now use it less often as I feel the images it produces are low quality and feel I could use an upgraded telephoto lens.
With all that in mind, I am swung towards upgrading the stock lens (as I use it the most) and will upgrade the telephoto at a later date. The question is....... which one??? Im confuzzled
