I have a pentax K10d and use a sigma 28-200mm but i dont like the resaults i get from the lens (not enougth light) so have thought about eather getting the pentax 18-55mm f3.5 or the sigma 18-50mm f3.5 and would like so advice on which one would be best.
I know both are cheap lens but im on a very tight budget and want some thing till i can afford something better but that will be another thread once i have some money.

Your best get would be the Pentax 16-45, f/4

Great lens and not too pricy, had one myself and it was excellent

Have a google and you only find good things said about it
 
The Pentax 18-55mm is the kit lens (I presume you bought body only) and is probably better than the Sigma. If you go for this option make sure you get the MKII version.

If you can afford it though then I would certainly take the 16-45mm f4 over both of them, much better lens (I had one before moving up to the DA* 16-50mm f2.8).
 
at the mo i only have a budget of around £70-80 so thats why iv thought those 2 after christmas ill have a bigger budget to play with its just my lens indoors is not very good so just wanted a cheap lens for the christmas periord :)

What sort of price are you looking for??? id still like to keep the 28-200 till after christmas once iv got another lens.

I have a MKI and MKII 18-55mm if you are interested.
Don't use them so they are only sitting in a cupboard doing nothing.

Im not sure you would be much better offf though .. Have you thought about a cheap Pentax flash off Ebay instead?
