I've really been enjoying playing with distortion effects in-camera recently, using mirrors and glassware to experiment with the idea.

A Lensbaby is probably next on my wishlist, but I wondered if there are any other weird and wonderful products available that I might not have heard of to create images that are a little out of the ordinary?
 
B&W make a range of multi-image prism filters that can give interestig results with the right subject.

Welding glass filters, infrared filters, vortoscope, ring-of-fire, handheld prisms, free-lensing..

^ all cheap, with varying degrees of DIY involved
 
So I've just ordered a prism filter, and I'm failing very enthusiastically at freelensing. Thanks for the suggestions! :)
 
An old UV filter with some Vaseline round the egde...
