Lenses for Sony a330

I have a question: I have been looking all over for a 55-XXmm lens, with or without auto-focus. It doesn't matter if it's from Konica-Minolta or whatever, just as long as it is rather cheap. I'm new to SLR photography so I really don't have any idea. Any help is very much appreciated.

go for the Sony 55-200mm it's an absolute beast of a lens especially at it's price.

Does it have to be 55-XXX as you can get a tamron 70-300 lens and its a steal at just over £100
