hi all,hope this is not a stupid question,but i'm doing a dance event for a local dance school.the venue will be in darkness,apart from the multi-coloured stage lighting ,my question is this,would a 300.00mm,60.00mm f2.8 because of the size of glass.let in more light than say a 70.00mm-200.00mm f2.8,would the bigger glass let more light in for a given aperture???

Nupe... the aperture number system is supposed to sort all that out for you and make it a brain out simple comparison process 
f2.8 is the same on all lenses
Of course the framing and field of view may make a difference. For example if you're shooting the whole stage you may get a higher shutter speed at f2.8 than if you zoom in on one guys face unless his face is very well lit and then out course it's that shot that'll get you the higher shutter speed
