I had a break from photography, lost all motivation to do it since the summer horse shows packed up for the winter. Yesterday though I decided to have a play with one of the horses I look after, he's fantastic and we have a real bond (if you look at the pics, he always has his eye on me!).

I think having a break did the trick... I haven't done any form of sports photography for a good 3 months, and seem to have come out now with more enthusiasm than before. New years resolution, take more pictures!

I assume it's not that cold with you? We have snow on the ground, black ice and solid fields - my poor fully clipped mare would have been shivering with no rug on and she's a hefty cob too! Lovely set of photos though, he's a handsome chap proper cob head.
 
It wasn't too cold yesterday no... but he was loose schooling and charging round the school most of the time so was pretty warm. Today is another story though, absolutely freezing but I rode him this afternoon absolutely fine, he wasn't cold, quite a hardy chap really.
