Yes
are they pretty easy to make?
:help:
I have a shot in mind, it's driving me nuts, all I can bloody think about, I'm like a woman posessed! Tried a couple of times to get it, but TBH I really need a light box.

Now I have loads of white card, a little bit of vellum, so that's all good, how easy are they to make?

Can I just literally make a box out of white card, light it (somehow!) and away we go?

I'd buy one but I kinda like crafting and I'm too impatient....and kinda stingey when I know that you can buy something similar in the pound shop!

I made one a while ago, using a long thin strip of wood, paper, white card for the infinity curve, and wood glue. Easy, and probably less than a fiver. It holds up a lot better than the cardboard one too.

i made one the other to pass time... think its great.

do you find yourself looking for items to shoot in the light box now you have one?

Well - if everyone else is joining in...here's mine

Made from a pack of a3 foamboard from staples, a couple of sheets of tracing paper and a few velcro dots. Collapses down to a inch thick by a3 sheet. On the top if the box is an old clipframe, the glass from which just happens to fit the base of the box, to do the nice reflections trick...

Here's the shot I was taking in the setup above...

and one to show off the reflection trick...

My lightbox got me through last years photo-365, though I think i've probably shot everything in the house that's small enough to fit in there...

i like the shot of the lambo.... love the reflection
