Hi All,

Can anyone advise me on a light meter reader? Haven't a clue where to start!!

Cheers..........

What features do you want?

I'm probably being really simple here!! Mainly for wedding and sporting events,as you can tell i'm a complete amateur!! lol

I'm with Gordon on this one Ross. Light meters are handy for certain situations but if you don't know why you need one I think it's a fair bet you don't need one. Save the money for when you know when/why you want one or spend it on something you need now.

Thanks guys advice much appreciated, but if you were to get one, what would you reccomend?

It really depends on what you want it for. If it's ambient light only then there's a million and one available. If you want ambient and flash then Sekonic 308s are about as cheap as it gets. If you want spot metering/metering from a narrow field of view you'll want one of the higher Sekonic models or something like a Minolta spot meter 4 or whatever they're called.
