Light meter

I wouldn't. Weston Master V was the run out model I think, and that must be 30 years ago. If it works, I doubt very much that it would be accurate. Weston Masters had a great reputation in their day, but I had one and never rated it at all. Very poor sensitivity in low light (selenium sensor).

Doesn't your camera have a meter in it? You can use it in exactly the same way if you really want to.
 
Yes i agree with what you are saying Richard,it is just niggling me that i would like to get hold of a cheap one just to satisfy myself.:):thumbs:

Well it's cheap enough, if it's just a curiosity. My concern would be its age, but Master 5 in good nick would probably be working fine. Westerns are very well made, and no battery to corrode inside. Make sure you get the invercone with it.

From that era, Sekonic or Gossen - CdS sensor. Might need a new battery ;)
