Light painted CTR

Another attempt at light painting.

This time with my own Civic type R

It kept raining on and off which proved annoying. Any water droplets showing up in the images is an act of god not of my own doing

First one is the best, really shows up the shape of the car well. The rear of the car is a little dark though. Only thing I would maybe do is remove the light trail in the window. Great set

Slowest shutter speed my 550d could achieve which is 30 seconds max. Ideally woulda like a little longer as it saves u running frantically around the car

I think the second is best, though the crop isn't the best, crop the bottom to just under the light patch on the floor, and trim a littlefrom th right and it's be better I think.

These look awesome. I also have an R, great car

Should really try one of these as they look great. To get a longer shutter speed couldn't you use bulb mode? That way you can time it as long as you want.

I like 1 the best, really good even spread of light. Try bulb mode to give you a little more time to cover the ends of the car though and it'll be spot on!

First pic is cool, although I think having the front and rear lit a touch more would improve it.

I've always wandered how the bulb mode works

You press the shutter button and release at some point later on... not timed.
Probably better with a remote (wireless?).

Oh and that little slot thing that came with the camera to cover the view hole - you may need that too.

went out at ridiculous oclock set the camera up on 30sec shutter speed and with an LED maintenance light in hand quickly danced round the car painting the bits I wanted highlighting.

I like the middle one the most out of the three. However to improve it (all in my opinion of course) I would of taken the shot from a little higher up, used a softer light and lit the side of the car too. The colours are really quite fantastic though!
