Hi all,
I have been experimenting recently with light painting and was dabbling with some long exposures on my car.
this image was my first attempt and was taken with 7 separate exposures (30seconds each) lighting individual areas of the car with a torch and then in post production these were layered into the final image.
this image was taken in pitch black.

comments and criticisms welcome

Nice, some thing I have thought of doing with speed lights but never got round to actually trying it. Mind you got to start by wash and waxing my car first though.

Lights on is always better. Instead of a sharp light source try a diffused one, light one of the torches with an adjustable beam, of tissue over the end. Use it to light the edges, the defined parts of the car like that bodywork line, then you'll miss the big light streak down the bodywork.

Above all, just play and experiment

Really interesting lighting technique, with great results. I'll try this one out.
