Light trails

Switch the camera to M (manual) ISO100 aperture to f/16-22, Image Stabilization Off and aim for a 45 plus second exposure to really smooth the trails out so you will want a trigger/cable release and take any UV filter you may have fitted off

Finally give my guide to light trails a read as I cannot cover it all in this post there's a link in my signature

Hi Nathan & Welcome

Congrats on your new camera, hope you have lots of fun with it, do out and enjoy using it. Don't worry about making a mess of things - thats part of the fun of learning and apart from time, it doesn't cost anything

Here's one my daughter took, with her new camera a few months back, we just went out and tried different settings and see what worked and what didn't...

Natty nice work. :)

I have a few suggestions but Im no expert so dont take them as gospel. If possible try to lose the street lights they usually give a funny glare and look funny on long exposure IMO. Also I junction isnt the best place IMO as cars could be sitting there for 30-60 seconds making it standstill in your photo too. Experiment though thats the FUN of it
