I know the 2 scenes is by far not the best to look at and the motor-way signs have reflected quite a lot, but it is my first attempt at long exposure light trails.

Any advice on getting stuff better?

I think that you've actually done a good job considering the limitations that you locations have presented to you, you should try and get on location earlier so as to get some nice colour in the sky (y) finally also watch your leveling (y) for example the second one is leaning to the right quite a bit.
