How many of you guys have/do use them

Im wanting to play with an idea iv had and the easiest way would be some sort of light system where by if the beam is broke the camera takes a pic.

do any of you have anything like this or know af any good starter kits for this?

You can buy a kit from maplin that will trigger a sounder if the beam is cut. it would be a very simple matter to trigger a camera instead.

I am working on a similar system based in a different area but can't say any more than that just now

There's loads available to either buy direct or make your own (fairly straightforward stuff) depends what you want to do with it? laser or IR ? Laser is better for distance and in daylight but IR works well enough and is cheaper

what im looking at will all be indoors so i dont need anything like the last link, and id probably get away with ir...hmmm il have to look into these, has anybody used one from hiviz?
