lightest monopod

I need a monopod, but will likely only use it for holding a video light so I don't need it to hold a lo of weight. Build quality and weight are the two important factors for me. I already have a head.

Any suggestions?

A painters pole with a light fitting to the top is the cheapest telescopic way. Don't laugh...it actually works especially if it just for a light light. (don't you just love the English language)

Here is a shot from a wedding I did with David Purslow this year..... you can see him with his painters pole, D3 and Sb800/900

He thinks it is safe and I have to agree.

its not really the cheapest I care about, it's the lightest and best build quality. although looking at those accessories a £30 monopod wouldn't be much more expensive than buying a painters pole and an adapter.

I've got a Slik monopod somewhere, it is really lightweight, to the point I wasn't sure it would hold my 1D and 70-200mm, but it sounds like it would be perfect for what you want. I should really dig it out and get it on the for sale forum.
