lightroom 4 tethered capture??

Hi guys, got myself lightroom 4 but when i try tethered shooting mode it wont find my camera which is a 600d. my camera is turned on, i have the leads all in the right places as my laptop has found the camera but lightroom wont. I have use the camera with the EOS Canon software and all works fine. any ideas please guys?
 
On the camera settings try changing the communication mode from PC Connection to Print/PTP, or vice versa, then try tethered again.
 
Hi thanks for your response but i cant find the information on my camera in my settings for the above that you have listed. i have looked everywhere in all settings.
 
The 600d isn't supported would you believe. Disgracefully the 5d Mkiii is also not supported even in the latest 4.2 RC.

As a work around you can tether using EOS utilities to a folder on your desktop and setup auto import in LR from that folder.
 
Lol, thanks ballyman, that's what I have been doing the last hour, seen a link on a site that managed to say how to work around it by using the EOS software and using lightrooms auto import folder. Thanks all
