Yes, it's been like that for a couple of weeks now and a look in the classifieds here will show what this price has done to sales!
It's excellent value but with version 4 on the way, it may be worth holding out for. I have the 4 beta and like it a lot.

but isn't it free to upgrade from 3 to 4 any way?
Is it? That would be excellent if it were so.
Any more info on this? At present the LR4 beta is available and I've not seen any news on pricing. As far as I am aware, each previous whole number upgrade required a payment.

I would have thought it would be cheaper to upgrade compared with getting full version but I cannot see it being free.

That's what's happened in the past; an upgrade version was pretty good value as long as the user had an earlier version.
