lightroom ...........help !!!!

Have downloaded the trial version of Lightroom 3.3.

All I am getting when I open it is select a catalogue to open.
At the bottom of screen it says choose a different catalogue or create new catalogue. When I press one of these it comes up with folders, but doesn't seem to go anywhere from there ............ am I being dumb here? or what should I do next?:shrug:

Check your in library mode and try import, you have to import and export your images into and out of lightroom.

I cant get it to even open? Just does the initial screen as mentioned

If you haven't already done it you'll need to create a catalogue and then populate it with images via the import function. If you have already created a catalogue you should open it and follow the guidance you've already been given above by Wayne.

Thanks for info ............. how do you create a catalogue? Lightroom wont open apart from the pop up mentioned above ... confused

Its asking you to name and create a catalouge I believe. Click new cataloge and then type a name in the file name box and click save
