Lightroom query

Hey all,

Just wondering if anybody knows of a way to change the backround image of a photograph in Lightroom 3. IE. Foreground image remains, like a rabbit, however we put it on a solid backround.

I know this can be easily done in CS however I do not own this

I don't think this can be done in Lightroom, you would need to use Photoshop/GIMP(free) or something of that ilk.

You need 'Layers' and Lightroom out of the box doesn't have this. I think there was a plugin you could buy that added layers, possibly made by OnOne, but you'd need to check.

Would be much better off doing this in photoshop. Ps has some great tools to achieve this without it looking fake. You will be able to refine the edge and make it look realistic.

If you want a solid white/black background you can use the adjustment brush and paint around the subject with +/-exposure but it will be difficult to make it look good.
