Lightroom Removal

My workflow is that I use Downloader Pro to download my Raw files and it fills in my IPTC/XMP info with my name and copyright.

This works fine.

I then use lightroom, Import from Disk so that I can alter the RAW files exposure etc. Then I use Export as a 8 bit Tiff.

Somewhere in the Lightroom part my IPTC info is being wiped out.

Anyone know how I can get it to keep the original info?

I know I can probably get lightroom to download direct from my cards, but really like downloader pro. (as you can't delete until a pic is downloaded)

If you want to keep using downloader pro can you set it so that it doesn't write the IPTC and set the IPTC data in Lightroom? It is pretty easy to set up a profile that applies the same data to every image you import. I guess you could set Lightroom to write the data again then at least it will overwrite the data that is already on there with the data again, rather than nothing...

i just downlod all my pix to my comp.. then import the rawfiles into lightroom.
