Anybody having issues with lightroom today (09/08) Everything on the PC is operating as normal but lightroom is extremely slow.

More than likely related to an update or LR conflicting with something else on your computer.

thanks. The only item i have added recently is a mapping program for garmin devices. Spoke to my son today who is pretty good at this sort of thing and told me to update my Graphics driver which I did, maybe a coincidence but things are a lot smoother today.

No. He was correct. It will be outdated drivers, at least it's sorted now and you'll know for next time.
