Lightscribe DVD

I did some Lightscribe DVD labelling for the first time last night. Impressive technology I suppose, but I can't say the results are. The ones I've done definitely lack the contrast you see in the advertising hype. Is this just the way it is or am I doing something wrong? :shrug:

I've used the 'Sonic' software which came with the Phillips DVD and also downloaded some 'Lightscribe' software... same result.

Anyone else experienced this?

It does not really work all that well on DVDs because of the additional layering. Standard CD's are fine.

Higher the contrast the better as you already know.

No problem....I thought mine was not working properly too when I first got it. There's loads of stuff on the forums about the issues with DVD's. Mostly they look 'out of focus'...a bit like my photography

I must say that I've found that mine look a bit soft too but I am going to have another go with a really contrasty monochrome image...they don't 'arf take a long tome to do don't they??
