- Edit My Images
- No
Hi folks.
I am a very new user to Linux - having just revived an oldish laptop to play with it.
Anyway, I want to do a spot of image editing on the machine. The Linux version I have is Linux Lite 1.0.8 (Ubuntu).
It has GIMP 2.8 installed.
The images are raw cr2 files from a 5dmkii.
I understand that I need UFRAW to view the images. I have downloaded this via system - Lite Software Center. It appears I have downloaded the standalone version of UFRAW . Whilst this opens the images by itself, it does not allow me open or import/export them to GIMP.
I believe i need a GIMP plugin.
I have tried to download one, but it would not install saying 'dependencies not met' . whatever that means ??
Please could someone direct me (in very simple terms) - as to where I can find this plugin and how to install it ?
Thanks in advance.
Anth.
